Robin Hood's Bay Robin Hood’s Bay is one of the most charming and popular villages in the North York Moors National Park.The pretty coloured cottages with their red tile roofs are huddled around a slipway at the foot of a steep ravine. Packed with secret passages and alleyways, it is easy to imagine the days when smugglers would slip their contraband up the hill under the cover of darkness. At low tide the characteristic rocky scars of the Peak Fault are visible just off the beach. Moor to Sea Cycle Way Crossing the stunning moorlands of North Yorkshire and through beautiful forests to the dramatic heritage coastline, the Moor to Sea cycle route links the towns of Scarborough, Pickering and Whitby in a long distance cycle route. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is the country’s most popular heritage railway. Fossil Hunting on the Dinosaur Coast The cliffs along the North Yorkshire Coast have some of the best Jurassic and Cretaceous geology in the world. Why not try and find some fossils for yourself.
