Robin Hood's Bay
Robin Hood’s Bay is one of the most charming and popular villages in the North York Moors National Park. The pretty coloured cottages with their red tile roofs are huddled around a slipway at the foot of a steep ravine. Packed with secret passages and alleyways, it is easy to imagine the days when smugglers would slip their contraband up the hill under the cover of darkness.
At low tide the characteristic rocky scars of the Peak Fault are visible just off the beach. It’s a great place for fossil hunting and the rockpools left by the tide contain a myriad of fascinating marine life. More Information >>
